Metronomes

Metronome was invented in 1812 by Dietrich Nikolaus Winkel, when he was experimenting with pendulums and found out, that a pendulum weighted on both sides can count equal time ratios. Johan Nepomuk Malzel got his design ideas and patented them in 1816. This types of metronomes are used today.
